  1. Dr. Ana Lopez, BSc., ND, CCT
    Naturopathic Doctor


Dr. Lopez’s journey into naturopathic medicine began after receiving treatment for her allergies.  She was so impressed with naturopathic philosophy that she decided to become a naturopathic doctor herself. Currently she maintains a family practice and has had experience treating a variety of conditions including hormone imbalances, pregnancy related complaints, digestive issues, anxiety and depression and autoimmune conditions. Dr. Lopez holds a BSc. in cell biology and genetics from UBC and is a graduate of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (2007). She has pharmaceutical prescription authority in British Columbia.

  1. David Duizer, RMC, BSc, ND
    Naturopathic Doctor


Dr. David Duizer is a practising naturopathic physician and a graduate of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. He has a special interest in the treatment of muscle and joint pain, autoimmune conditions, digestive concerns, anxiety, depression and chronic fatigue. Dr. Duizer is certified in intravenous vitamin and mineral therapy, heavy metal chelation and mistletoe therapy in complementary cancer care. He is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC and the BC Naturopathic Association.

Karen Ryan is a seasoned nutritionist as well as an ADHD practitioner and behaviour interventionist for school aged children, teens and adults. She is a firm believer in the correlation between food and mood and that a clean diet is the best medicine for sound health of body and mind. Guided by her extensive education, research, and experience in clinical and holistic nutrition, Karen dedicates her focus to helping all people, especially children and teens with ADHD, eat healthier and live happier. Karen also works with youth and adults who struggle in areas such as anxiety, bipolar disorder and depression. Karen believes in empowering her clients through education and informed choices and works closely with each and every one of them to ensure the development of a treatment plan that can be easily followed to ensure success.

  1. Petra Sovcov, CHT
    Clinical Herbal Therapist


Petra Sovcov is a Clinical Herbal Therapist from New Westminster BC. She runs a community herbal wellness center called Healing House Natural Wellness where she sees clients in person or via phone/skype, and is also a part of the Finlandia’s Health Centre in Vancouver. In addition to her herbal wellness centre, she is an active volunteer for Herbalists without Borders International (HWB), and runs the HWB Chapter and Free People’s Clinic for Vancouver BC, she is also engaged as the HWB International membership and volunteer coordinator. Currently, Petra is a main contributor for Home Herbalist Magazine where she writes the monthly column “Ask an Herbalist”, allowing readers to have their health and wellness questions answered from the scope of a clinical herbalist. She is passionate about facilitating an individual’s healing path and enjoys enriching a person’s core health with the use of herbs. She believes that health and healing should not be something afforded solely to those with the financial means to seek help, but rather that the knowledge behind taking responsibility of one’s own healing is a basic human right.

Tahlia Sage (Bsc. Food, Nutrition & Health, Certified Nutritional Practitioner) is a Vancouver-based nutritionist and a faculty member at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition who is now a part of our Health Centre. Tahlia’s own health challenges and weight issues prompted her to pursue an education in nutritional science and holistic nutrition. She founded Sweet & Savoury Health Nutrition Coaching to empower her clients from all over the world to achieve their wellness goals with easy, concrete steps.
